It can help people find meaning

Psychologists have known for years that literature helps people to find meaning. According to the study, stories that focus on people can make people more compassionate. For example, people who were deeply absorbed in a story were twice more likely to pick-up a dropped pen. A study by the University of California found that literature helps people find meaning through stories about people.

It's an easy way to find inner peace

Storytelling can help to end social conflict and promote peace. The ability to share stories from many cultures allows people to influence change both within and beyond their culture. It has all the trappings of a successful peacebuilding mechanism: it is accessible, requires no pre-conditions of literacy, affluence, or a specific medium, and is transcendental. People may find peace when they overcome their own obstacles by sharing their stories of courage.

How To

How to keep food alive in a survival situation

In a long-term emergency, drying food is the best method to preserve it. Drying foods makes them last for longer and removes moisture. It also helps to reduce the growth of bacteria.

Dry fruits are great snacks for emergencies because they don’t require preparation. They're easy to carry around, and you can eat as much as you want without worrying about weight gain.

A dehydrator can be used to dry fruit at home, but it is more efficient to use a solar oven. To dry any type of food, you could use a sun oven, such as meats, fish, vegetables and grains.

The most important thing when preserving food is to ensure it is airtight. This stops oxygen entering the food and spoiling it. You don't need to use preservatives if the container is sealed tightly enough.

If you do decide to add preservatives, try adding salt first. Salt prevents mold growth. Then follow this with vinegar. Vinegar kills off harmful bacteria and stops mold from growing.

Start by cutting up your food in small pieces. You can either use scissors or a knife. Pack everything carefully so there is no air in the container

Next, place the food in a bag. Place the food inside a plastic bag. Keep it warm until it dries fully.

After the food is dried, seal it in a container. It is important not to let food contact other things.
